Different batch of Dg-300s?

Hi guys,

I've been looking at some used dg-300s and noticed that there seems to be some variations as to the headstock. I thought, and believe that the original dg-300s had a the black veneer over the headstock instead of a natural finished wood headstock.

I've had about 5 in my shop that have the Rosewood rather then the Ebony on the head stock.
