I'm now relatively comfortable with my rest stroke technique, and I've been working out of 'Getting into Gypsy Jazz Guitar' and 'L'esprit Manouche', so I've decided that I should start learning some tunes. 'Complete Django' and 'The Gypsy Jazz Chord Book Volume 1' both seem very good, but I can only afford 1 at the moment. The one downside I see in Complete Django is the lack of variety, as it is only Django compositions. The Cosimini book has some Django tunes, but also lots of tunes by others. Also, If I eventually worked out the Vol.1 and Vol.2 of the cosimini books, I'll have reached that 100 song goal that Michael's written about a couple of times on here. Although, Complete Django also has themes and melodies, and from what I've read the Cosimini books don't. This is a tough decision, so any help is appreciated.
I've read that the Cosimini books are going out of print (Or maybe they already have). Is this true? If it is then I suppose my choice is obvious.
