I have to tell the sad news that Ziroli Winterstein passed away on Sunday, the 29th of July. He was one of the best rhythm guitarists in germany. He was a member of Häns´che Weiss´and Titi Winterstein´s famous Quintets. Later he had his own trio with Wano and Terrangi Bamberger and played a very fine solo guitar as well.

When I first met Ziroli in 1996 I remember that he was so deeply sad because his father Prinzo had just passed away some weeks before.

All the best for his family.

That is really sad news. I love the albums that I have with him playing . He was a monster rhythm player. I am sorry that this music has lost such a talent and Barengero, my condolences for the loss of your friend.
