From everything I've read, it seems like Django was a great guy. Too bad I'll never get to meet him. Not many musicians, or anybody, of such fame would accept an invitation to the house of a random fan for some drinks.

Still an amazing story every time I read it.

Recently at a gig I talked to an old French woman who said she was a singer in Paris and that she knew Django and Stephane. I'm not sure I'm completely conviced, but she certainly knew a lot about Django and the Hot Club of France.

I'll have to pry more when I see her again. Maybe I can get some more good stories out of her!
