dark eyes (advanced)

hi, I was just wondering if on the recording of the advanced version of dark eyes (CD3- 68), the upstroke are muted somewhat, it sounds like the string are not fully pressed especially on Dm6/b for example or am I just too heavy handed...

Hi...you should never mute an upstroke when playing la pompe. The upstrokes are just very fast, that's all.

thanks for the answer, i figured it out now, what i was hearing is the sound of the pick brushing against the strings, when i angled the pick more as suggested in the book i heard it.
