tremolos and palm muting

i have a book of 20 django transcriptions by hal leonard . it seems very accurate. but i was wondering all tremolos are notated as 32nds. in such tunes as nuages,my serenade,limehouse blues,etc. when i listen to the recordings they sound like 16thns to me. i was hoping for some insight.also in tiger rag they have a lick notated with palm muting.after working with your gypsy picking book, now one of my favorites, im thinking this must be incorrect. any input would be greatly appreciated.

most transcription books are inaccurate actually, i remember the hal leonard one (if it's the one i think it is), having a number of mistakes , especially in the fingerings, sometimes in the chords too

just learn to trust your instincts... better yet, figure out the music yourself
