One problem with hand made guitars (as opposed to factory machine made) is the hands themselves may wear out.
It seems this has now become a problem for Jean-Pierre and he has had to cut his working hours accordingly and no longer takes orders for new guitars.

I am sorry to see that but I do understand. I wholeheartedly agree we need to appreciate these artisans while they are alive but also active. Back in 2007 I ordered a guitar directly from JP and when it was completed I met up with him in Paris to take hold of the instrument. It was a wonderful experience to from start to finish. Later on I ended up selling that guitar BUT only because I replaced it with a different instrument of his, which suited me better (and which, I'll never sell).
I wish JP good health and hope his hands hold up into the future pain free as much as is possible. When he's gone it will certainly be the end of the Favino line!
