Yes, these new Jazz As have a truss rod. It's interesting how the Mateos guitars developed....his first guitars were sold as Gallatos and were extremely bright and loud. Often painfully so. When he started building under his own name he took the treble down a few notches for more balance. This new model A doesn't have a harsh bone in it's body. It's very balanced and warm, and sounds almost exactly like a Shelly Park. A real modern, warm, balanced sound. Very satisfying...great for recording! Has enough volume for most situations, but it wouldn't be first choice for volume challenged situations like campfire jams.
All in all, a great European guitar at a bargain price.
