Bossa Dorado for Django in June

Hello everyone,

Got an email from Andrew Lawrence today with suggestions for jam tunes for Django in June, and I'm already practicing in anticipation. I have copies of all the tracks except this one - Bossa Dorado. Would anyone be kind enough to send me an MP3 of at least the head?

Glad to hear you'll be making it down our way. If you'll PM me your email, I'd be glad to send off a couple of versions. I can't wait for June...I picked up my busking license this week, and I'll be trying to get the word out over the next month or so. I'm interested in those charts if you wouldn't mind sharing them with me. The only version I have is the Robin Nolan Gig Book version and the B section doesn't even come close to what I'm hearing on the Rosenberg Trio CD I have.

I have a Guitar Pro tab sheet that seems fairly accurate in regards to the Rosenberg Trio version. with lead and rythm. Ive attatched it. Use the demo version of Guitar Pro if you need to, its on their werbsite.

I know what you mean. I know this is way past its due (over a year later! ) but if you are still having a problem there try a lttle walk down in that part like..

as in the Nolan book B secton: A-7b5 >D7>

then instead of going straight to G-7 as in the book try:

G5 (or Gm), Gm no 3rd(I use 3 notes, G, D, F#) , G-7, G-6

then back to the E7
(you could go D7, Eb7, E7 if you want to get really fancy)

its a cool sounding little walk down then back up to E7, I think thats what Nous'che is doing there! regardless, it fits and makes the song sound more fun and is really fun to play.


ps; forgive me if my chord names seem wrong, I forget chords names all the time :oops:

Michael has a free lesson about that device here. You'll find it a lot when rhythm players have a long stretch of a single minor chord.
