Hey everyone,
I don't really know in what category to post this, but I recorded myself with the Goldwave program and a totally crappy microphone, and I ended up with a pretty great sound, very much like Django's in the 40s...
Here it is:

What I play is very inspired by Django, as you can guess.
Tell me what you think about the sound; hope you'll like it! (it's about 2 minutes long)

(ps: the people who are acquainted with manoucheries.com probably know that recording already..)

Love the sound, you're right it sounds a lot like the old recordings, and your playing is superb!
I really enjoyed it.
Could you post all the gear details of your recording, please?
Micro, guitar, EQ, etc.
Thanks.
Enrique.
The material is really basic, actually:
- a microphone usually used for MSN and Skype (nothing to do with music!) which would cost about $5
- the program called Goldwave to record
- and the guitar is a French one, made by a man called Pierre Ducroz.
Here is a picture of it:
Thank you!
