California Blonde amp. and Gypsy Jazz.

Does anybody use the California Blonde acoustic instrument amp. for GJ? I have heard good things about this amp. and am thinking of buying one. A lot of my friends use this amp and love it for acoustic music but none of them play GJ. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had one years ago...i traded it in for a Schertler and was much happier. The Blonde was OK, but it's very heavy and not the most even response. Was really prone to feedback...much more so then an AER or a Schertler.

All depends what pickup you use....but most piezos, magnetic pus, or schertler pickups work better through other amps.

I had a Strawberry Blond (the smaller version of the California) years ago but did not use it for JG. I would think it would be lacking in midrange for Gypsy Jazz and even with a flattop, I found the highs too shimmery (for lack of a better term).
