Hi, all.

If anyone's in the area, there's a workshop happening on 23 January (Django's birthday anniversary!) in the Northampton area (it's also, later in the day, the inaugural session for a monthly jam). Dennis is flying in from Montreal to give us the goods. He's a great player (despite his online humility) and the workshop will cover both rhythm and lead technique, with two hours devoted to each. Just an update: Andrew's original host fell through (they'd rather watch the football game), so both the workshop and jam will be at my place, assuming Dennis will still come down once he reads this. Plenty of room, though, and I'll make a load of coffee and all that; ten a.m. can be an awfully early start for la pompe. The pool table will be available for those wishing to emulate the Django style, and there's plenty of floor space should you bring a sleeping bag and don't mind my beagle nosing you at four in the morning.

You probably should drop in, otherwise you'll be correcting everyone for months on end once they get my 'tips'. Bring it all!
