Hi Michael I have been using the rest stroke for the past year 3 months and been playing on a flat top acoustic. 2 days ago I bought a Gitane which is lovely I got the Jorgensson. Last night I had a jam and played for 4and a half hours now this morning my wrist is hurting like I've sprained it,I have never had any pain before on the other guitar. I practise the guitar for about 2-3 hours a day so what could it be any ideas? I dont want to stop using the rest stroke so that is definately not an option.
Don't stare at the stinking finger, or you will miss all the heavenly glory.

I'm not a doctor, so I'd advise consulting one about your wrist.

However, I know from experience that music related injuries most often occur when you change your technique or instrument. You probably just need to get used to the new guitar for a while....I would just ease off a bit and limit your playing time until your wrist gets used to the movements required to play the new guitar.

You can use the extra time to do lots of transcribing!

    Hope you feel better,

    -Michael
