I was all over amazon.com looking for a collection of Django’s music that included this rousing version of Swing Guitars, what I feel is the definitive reading of that piece. All I can tell you is that there is a clarinet in the group (beautiful playing) in this version. Django’s in fine form, blasting chords all over the place and his solos throughout are scintillating. I originally owned the vinyl of this recording (I remember the front cover was a bright yellow). Is anyone here familiar with this reading of Swing Guitars, and what CD collection it’s on?
