Hi everyone,
Well, It's been a long time in the planning, but here are the detail for the first ever gypsy jazz mini fest in Brooklyn NY! Our guest, and famous gypsy jazz artist and teacher is the great Dennis Chang. Dennis is from Montreal, and has a great band called Fleche d'or, he has recorded with many great artists, and as a teacher he has made a DVD on rhythm guitar, as well as working on a lead guitar DVD. He will be featured in the Grand opening concert, and is giving a class. Well, on to the other details:

Grand opening concert Thursday the 28th of February:
This concert will feature many of the "local" acts playing music inspired by Django Reinhardt. The event will take place at the fabulous Jalopy Theater in the amazing Red Hook area of Brooklyn, NY (315 Columbia street- their website is www.jalopy.biz). The featured bands are listed below, as are each performance time; the event will close with a jam. Cost for the event is 20 for all night or five dollars a set. There are great beer and wines for sale, as well as guitars and other instruments, coffees and teas. All in all a great concert at a great venue.

The cost is 100 dollars, and pre registration is highly recommended. This event is described in detail at www.djangobooks.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4217.

The third and final event is "un grande Fete" at my home in Brooklyn, also saturday night, open to any participant of the festival, We'll start at 8, and party and jam until we crash; There will be plenty of guitars and fun things to drink, Its going to be a heck of a party, and a fun night. Incidentally I live walking distance to Mazzotti Music. (please email me if you'd like to attend this event)
