Just wondering if any of you have done a comparison of these two programs and why so many people seem to use PowerTab (other than it's free, pretty good reason!). I've been wrestling with PowerTab and find TablEdit to be much more intuitive. Also, the PT "help" files are not all that helpful and seem to leave a lot out. I just can't seem to figure out how to do some simple things.
On the other hand, $60.00 is a lot to spend for a tab package (TablEdit) if there's a good one available for free.

Unfortunately, as you mentioned you have to buy the software if you want to use all the features. The demo version should work for a couple of weeks only before it locks.
But (here's the trick), if you don't want to buy it, and just use it as read-only... each time it locks, put the file "info.tellini.mac.TabView.plist" in the trash, empty it, and the demo version starts over again for 2 weeks.
Otherwise you can always import pt files to guitar pro, if you bought this one...
There are two versions, with different features :

I glad I run Windows on a PC, it is so much easier than a Mac
Sorry, couldn't help it.

Thanks.
