Live At The North Sea Jazz Festival '92 - Track 16 (Spain)

edited February 2008 in CD, DVD, and Concert Reviews Posts: 4
Hello,
the track 16 on the CD: "Live At The North Sea Jazz Festival '92" from the Rosenberg Trio is "Spain" from Chick Corea; but the first part of track 16, its very slowly and melodic - is this Spain too ?
When I listen the another interpretation (f.example Bireli Lagrene) I cannot find this melodic part.
I asked, because I will try to find the original to make my own interpretation (with guitar) of this song

Can some here help me ?

Thanks a lot,
John

That's an excerpt from the famous Concierto de Aranjuez. Miles Davis also recorded it...

Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez is the official intro to Spain as it was used in the original version of Spain by the composer himself (Corea, not Rodrigo) in Chick Corea's album Light As a Feather.
