Does anyone know of any open gypsy jazz jams in the San Francisco Bay area? Also, is there anyone in or around San Fran who is interested in getting together to play some gypsy jazz?
I'm going to be spending the month of July 2007 in Palo Alto. What are good standing performances and jams in the Bay Area? I've checked out the Hot Club of San Francisco's web site, but I'm sure there must be more.

Emily Anne's hot nuts plays Django inspired old-timey jazz music every second weekend in SF. Saturday at the Rite Spot Cafe (17th and folsom), Sunday at Amnesia (20th and Valencia).
Caspah hot jazz plays first Wednesdays at Deluxe on Haight and Ashbury in SF.
So as you can see, we don't have a whole lot going on here

If you're in Palo Alto (south bay), look for gigs with Hot Club Pacific. 1st and 3rd wednesdays at Hoffman's Bakery in Santa Cruz.
Gaucho plays every wednesday in the mission (SF) at Amnesia from 8-10. They are awesome. Definitely not your typical Gypsy Jazz. Accordion, horns, percussion... the works. http://www.amnesiathebar.com/
My gypsy jazz group plays every Thursday at Central Perk Cafe in El Cerrito, CA. Also 8-10. Bring your guitar: http://www.centralperkcoffee.net/index.html
the Very Hot Club plays second and 4th sundays at 6 degrees on solano avenue in Albany: www.sixdegrees6.com
