I picked up some heavy picks based on the right hand techniques I've seen here and I think I understand the concept. Much different than the way I've held a pick for many years and I wish I would have come across this sooner. I can hear and feel how much more declarative my leads will be.
As far as chording goes, being a drummer helps to get the swing down but I can see, like any other style this will take much practice. I think I understand how the whole forearm, wrist angle, hand gravity, rest stroke thing works and how each of us will have a slightly different way of accomplishing it based on our anatomy and guitar. I did notice that Elixir Nanowebs are darn slippery this way!
