Hi,

Here's an old thread:

viewtopic.php?t=812&highlight=echoes

Copy of the score:

Chord Chart by Michael Horowitz:

Great composition! Perhaps a swing version should be done of the Star Spangled banner and someone should set their guitar on fire (oh, that's been done...)

I think it's one of his best songs, it also contains one of his best solo improvisations.

Just wondering.

Does somebody know if there is a different Audio or Video file other than the Integrale version of Echoes of France ? :D

It's a good time to check this tune right ? July 14 is coming up !

Nope there's only one version of it. But you might wanna check the one that Fapy recorded on Star Eyes.

It seems that 2 bars of Michael's chart fit into one of the original : 18 bars verse plus 10 bars chorus. Do I get that right ?

They're all basic chord shapes. Do you play rhythm guitar at all? Just use what you normally would...the chart doesn't show anything specific.

best,
Jack.

I only know a bit about chords and why they are called so. But I can't find chord charts anywhere, and I'm thinking of buying Gypsy Rhythm in the future. Could somebody please please :D , post the chord fingerings of the Michael Horowitz Chord Chart. please :D

Like, when there is a Gm chord, I could read it when its posted so
32xxx3 (example, not a Gm chord). But then I need all the chords of the Michael Horowitz Chord Chart :D

You can find chord shapes for all the chords here:
http://nuagesdeswing.free.fr/accords/accords_index.html
but you'll still need to know where the root notes are.

To start it off, the G could be played like this:

-5----
-5----
-4----
-5----
-5----
-3----

Maybe I'm still misunderstanding you...do you play only solos, or do you also play rhythm? Or maybe you know chords by ear instead of name? I just can't figure out how you can play with other people if you don't know some basic chords...sorry if I'm missing something...

Hope that helps,
Jack.
