    Hello Phil,
Here's a special one, I've been told from a friend it's an outstanding example, with a little extra mojo on the back of the headstock.

    Hi Phil,

My Bandmate Jack Fields sold that guitar to George Cole of The Very Hot Club. George is a lucky guy. That is a great Dupont.

    Good luck in your search.

    Cheers,

    Marc

I visited the International Vintage Guitar store in November last fall when I was on a short visit to New Orleans. It's a great shop, hundreds of vintage and new guitars. They had 5-6 Duponts (!!). I played all of them including this one. I'm not a 12 fret D-hole kinda guy, but I liked this guitar and after a used MD50 that I came close to buying, the 12 fretter was my favorite of the bunch. It is used, but I recall it was in good condition and played well. Again, I don't play 12 fret Ds often, so there may be nuances I'm missing, but I thought it was a good one.

In this price range you could also consider buying a new MC 50, 60 or 100. Jacques Mazzoleni (gypsyguitars.com) is in France right now, he'll probably get a new batch of Dupont soon. You could drop him an email and tell him you're interested in an MC.

I wouldn't be afraid to negotiate with International Vintage Guitar if the one they have looks interesting. I was offered a reduction off the listed prices without asking and felt like there was more to be had if I was serious about it.
