I would like some input on a new guitar. I have been using a cigano cj-10 for a year and would like to upgrade to an intermediate level guitar. I enjoy the cigano but am always looking at other guitars.
thanks
Big
I think the Dell Arte Hommage is the best value out there....great US made hand-built guitar that sounds like European guitars that are twice the price! And unlike the cheaper Asian stuff, it usually needs not setup work. Plays great out of the box!
the Cigano CJ-10 is awesome. Personally I would stick with that. I prefer that guitar to anything else under $1200 or so. just because its cheap doesn't mean its not awesome. stick a DuPont bigtone in it and it will rock.
now i prefer to concentrate on arpeggios rather than new guitars. i used to think differently until my friend Rip McCollough (Wrembels Berkley rhythm player) showed me that you could play gypsy jazz on a $100 classical guitar for a whole year and none of our fans would even notice. People come up to me (and my Shelley Park guitar) all the time and ask "wow, those nylon strings sound cool."

Oh that's funny! That's sort of like when I fly with my Fender electric mandolin. The same TSA agent at my local airport looks at the X-ray and always comments about my "banjo." He sees 5 strings, therefore it MUST be a banjo!

You could go for a Dupont MD100 they are about $2500.
