Hi to everybody, i am back with my terrible english to talk about the Matelo's album "diner et musique".
i have done a little search on this forum but it looks like there is nothing about or maybe i mistake something.
Does anyone know something about this album? even if i know that there are two tunes ("saint bonheur" and "la jolie sardane") that are on the django legacy album also.
What about the other tunes? and when was recorded this album exactly?
every notice is appreciated i am courious about it .
really particular album... i like that a lot and Matelo's playng is excellent, really nice.

I'm not sure if you have the album or not...if this helps, I think these are all the titles on Diner et Musique:
La Jolie Sardane
La Sainte-Bonheur
Roule Ta Basse
La Matchiche
Tire, Tire
Guitar Boogie
String Samba
Petite Train de Mexique
Dors, Dors, Dors
La Petite Marie
Bambina
I don't have more information, but I'm sure someone can jump in. Scot?
Hope that helps,
Jack.
if you have listen to it, it seems that "tire, tire", for example, sounds to me like a bulgar-klezmer famous piece dont you think?
Is it this song known as : Tire, tire l'aiguille ma fille, demain tu vas te marier.
You can hear a sung version by Line Renaud here:

It is sometimes credited to Emil Stern for the music (but I believe it is an old yiddish folk music)
If you are interested, I have the music sheet of "La Saint-Bonheur" and may be "Quelle est jolie la sardane" by Charles Trénet (I am not certain for this one).
