    Look forward to hearing what it sounds like... it probably needs a while to break in before it gives its best.

    on my personal advice you should absolutely record the acoustic guitar with a good mike and THAT'S ALL, the sound will be fine. External hardware isn't always a good solution, why not boost your ears instead of amplfying the guitar, a couple of solutions here below :

    You have to somehow find a way of getting from the mic to a recording device.
