Hee.

Im playing the Minor Swing progressions (AM6 DM6 E7) with backing track for a month now and I can't get a nice imrovisation.
I just sounds like me playing the a few notes of the progression over a chord. What can I do to let it sound more Melodic, and what about the fast licks that the pro's use, aren't they called arpegios ? plz help :D

Arpeggios.-you could learn those to start. If you are a real beginner you should know that the right-hand technique and the phrasing and sound one gets using it is a hallmark of the style. If you are interested in pursuing that you should definitely learn it at the same time. You will have an advantage over those of us who re-work our old technique. You can probably find major and minor arpeggios free on the web, but there are lots of books on this website specific to the style.
