For what it's worth I just wanted to add my two cents here and say I'm glad to see the new Lulo Reinhardt cd is here.

In case you don't have it, get it. I highly recommend the whole cd as it's great. It's full of engaging compositions and all of the players sound perfect together. The song forms are progressive and refreshing from the usual gypsy jazz standards & typical swing rhythms. A majority of the solos are very modal and what's nice is all of the soloists really compliment each other. It's not a shred fest or battle between who can play the fastest riff or fastest django solo, the music comes first.

This is a great album from start to finish, you can loop it and let it go for days! When my wife & I bought our cd after watching Lulo here locally, it was spinning on repeat for weeks!

    Thanks & cool Colorado poster!

I really love the Robin Nolan CD, Organized Crime- so much so that I have written two Jazz.com track reviews- on Clair De Lune and Once in a While. Lots of great playing and very listenable, even for those who are not enthusiasts of the genre. I highly recommend getting this CD. Here are links to the reviews:

Robin is covered in my Django in June article on Jazz.com as well. The links are in my previous post on the subject.
