I don't know much about notation in gypsy jazz and would like to ask for help. Can you guys tell me why in the picture some squares are divided into two parts and one chord is written in one half and second chord is written is second half ? Why some squares are not divided in two ?

Each square= 4 beats; Divided square = 2 beats each "triangle". Si tu Savais is frequently played in D or Eb (http://guitarejazzmanouche.com/grilles/139/Si tu savais) Easy to change keys on this site, for the most part. You can also check out grilles by users (utilisateurs) to find tons of songs.

This is a melodic minor (1-2-3b-4-5-6-7) except they added a “bebop” note between the 5th and 6th notes… this note’s root, was used as their “dominant minor 13”..

…good luck learning how to play guitar…this one will make you realize how deep rhythm can be
