Anyone know anything about this new model, seen/played one? Is it based on the DG-300/330 or maybe 255? Neck profile etc? Can't find anything at Saga website....
i've played it before.. i think it was only made for andy... and the one i tried belonged to andy ... i could be mistaken but it's basically a JJ model with andy's name on it... or very little modification anyway... best to ask him yourself, he posts at the hotclub forum
Found out from Andy - it's a new model, specified by him - flame maple back and sides and neck set so that a Stimer can go under strings.
It's a DG-270, but the Modele Andy Mackenzie bit was a more or less a one-off. They put it on for him, then started producing gtrs with it on headstock. A few are out there but future gtrs won't have that script on it...
What was it like when you played it, if you can remember...?
I recall a post (as Dennis said, on the hotclub.uk forum) where Andy played Tangerine on the signature model Gitane. Not sure how to link to it, but if you go there and search for Tangerine, it'll come up.
anyway, it was a nice guitar but i'm gonna tell you one thing, my favorite guitars from saga are the ciganos (the cheapest models!), i just find they completely kill every other guitars they've made, soundwise and feelwise...
i even bought one as a backup guitar. not bad for 400$!!!

As it has it's own number DG-270, I presume it's a production model, who knows.....
