It would be cool if someone here could compile and post a list of famous gypsy guitarists, the guitars they use, the picks they use, the string brands and gauges, the actions they prefer etc. all in one easily accessible chart. If someone can send me the data I can do it and post it as a downloadable pdf. It would be very useful for people new to the site that are starting gypsy jazz from other styles. pm me info if you have any.
