It's hard to beat the Hahls for looks! He's got some of finest woods I've ever seen and he really knows how to work with them.
The guitar is a real nouveau Gypsy tone machine. Not an ultra loud barker...it excels at producing a lush, complex tone, with lots of swirling nuances. Chords spin and pulsate while single notes are warm, fat, and buttery. That's the 60 year woods at work...green woods sound much simpler and to the point.
Its also very, very easy to play. More like an archtop in that regard.
