Hi all,
I've been offered some session work, and I'm wondering if any of you have experience in that area. Specifically, what you charge, and whether it depends on the project as opposed to simply the time involved. Is it by the hour, by the project, by the tune?
I'm not in the musician's union, but took a look at the AFM site to get an idea--it's a bit confusing, though, with rates changing depending on all sorts of things. Is there a real-world average for non-union musicians?
