You need a little Gasgacinch or Yamabond #4 on that valve cover rubber and maybe check the crush washer on the oil cooler banjo bolt at the head. Got a little oil seepage there.

Why! You a Triumph mechanic?
I've ridden and wrenched them for 35 years!
Oil is like, music to my ears... Only different...
I'm not perfect and neither are my vintage bikes!
You aught to hear my guitar and bass playing...
Lot's of leaks there also...
Where's your bike and music sound clips?
Funny how an old thread will pop up...
LOL I was a professional wrench for 23 years...master mechanic..certified on Beemers, Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha but worked on many more. I also worked on bikes prior to getting into it professionally and after I got out of the trade...so like you have a similar amount of time in on it. It was, other than guitar playing, my life when I was in it.
Nice to know I am not the only grease monkey around these parts.
I had to ditch it...the money was awful and truly, as a pro I went from really interesting work overseas, tweaking bikes 9 ways to Sunday.... to coming to California and dealing with the EPA regs and then the bikes got so good out the box that all I was doing was oil and filter changes, chains, tires and brakes and the occasional wreck job. The bikes were going 16,000 miles between valve adjustments and carb syncs....aaaaaargh!! Don't get me started
Triumph retooled based on a lot of the tooling at the Kawasaki factory yeah? I noticed a lot of similarities between Triumphs and Kwackers right after they got going again and on into it. Especially the chain adjusters and some of the levers and controls, handlebar switches etc.
One of the directors I work with on "24" has a nice Triumph, I think it is a Thruxton..sort of Phil Read design, black and white...cafe racer look. Pretty cool.
Yeah, Speed Triples are cool and FAST!
My '05 Bonnie (pictured) has been been transformed since that photo w/ CR35's, BC Sleepers, air box gone w/ velocity stacks, port and polish heads, can't afford a big bore kit... Progressive springs fitting as we speak,
Ohlin 36E rears... I machine, polish all the accessories on it myself...
Pushing 80 RWHP...
Not bad for and old man on a Bonnie Trumpet!
Went back w/ Triumphs after HD Pan Heads, Knuckles and 45's, even w/ suicide shifts, Honda, Ducati, BSA and a 52 Vincent Black Lightning...
(O.K. I lied about the Vincent!)
Sure wish I had all the bikes and guitars I ever owned!
Looking, just cant afford a '49 Triumph I found here in Tucson...
Sure do miss my '65 TR5...
John Bloor built the most modern factory in Hinkley, and it was Triumph that built the first parallel 360 degree twin with Kawasaki and Honda to follow...
It was HD that went to Japan to learn how to tool...
Just road 12K last year...
I guess I should ride more...
Ride, wrench and repeat...
You aught to check out Matt Capri and Carlos at South Bay Triumph In Lomita CA. They build and race at Bonnevlle Salt Flats some bad ass machines...
Your buddy should know about them, but if not...
Wanna buy a Dell'Arte JR thats been hot rodded?
Work, music is slow right now w/ the economy.

Don't need 4 guitars, and a slow bike... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcupB-gznH8

Cool video, that bike is quick! Like the dog too, what breed is he? Looks like a good buddy.
I had an iguana for a long time, she died a couple years ago....she had gotten quite big..... the whole family was afraid of her, but she let me handle her okay. She got some kind of egg deal that blocked her up.
Sorry for the long delay in replying....I am furiously busy at work.
