Hi All
I'm new to the forum, and also pretty new to gypsy jazz and the art of transcription, so be gentle with me ;-)
I've been trying to find a version of Django's (1939) intro to "Undecided" (before Beryl Davis' vocals enter), but can't find a transcription anywhere.
I've therefore given it my best shot and posted the results here for all to share.
It's close, but not perfect, so if there are any corrections, improved fingerings etc. please post them to the forum - they would be greatly appreciated.
I've saved it as a pdf, but can post it in Guitar Pro (.gp5) format if anyone would prefer.
Best wishes

Guitar Pro file attached compressed as a Zip file (posting of .gp5 format seems to be blocked by the newsgroup). Enjoy!
If you find any errors or better fingerings, please amend the Guitar Pro file and re-post to this group.
Best wishes
best,
Jack.
I think I've found the problem:
When you print or save a document to Adobe Acrobat, the preferences default to "Do Not Send Fonts to Adobe pdf". If the recipient's computer doesn't have the same font installed, in this case for music notation, their computer substitutes another font, resulting in complete gibberish. However because my computer has the music notation font installed, it looks fine, and there's no way of knowing otherwise...
I've re-saved with this box unchecked and attached the file below.
It should do the trick.
Apologies again for the disappointment.
Please let me know if this works or not...
By the way, it seems that this newsgroup won't allow posting of guitar Pro (*.gp5) files - anyone know why ?
(Though it does seem to allow them to be posted if compressed as .zip files ;-))
Cheers
Due to ongoing problems with Adobe Acrobat, I've re-posted a zip file here containing multiple formats: Guitar Pro 4, a pdf created direct from Guitar Pro 5, MIDI and PowerTab 1.7.
Please note that the only way I could convert from GP5 to PowerTab was to export as a MIDI file, then import the MIDI file into PowerTab editor. Some of the info didn't survive the translation - particularly the swing time rhythm for the first 4 bars only, some of the ornamentation, and slides / string bends which come out in MIDI and Powertabs as the starting pitch only. As a result, the version in these formats sounds a little odd (take it from me, the GP5 version is much better!!). Apologies for this, but at least this will give you a starting point!
As always, feedback and suggestions for improvements are very welcome.
Latcho Drom....
