Question about Adrien Moignard picking style

What's Happening GJ students and afficianados,
I'm curious about Adrien's, virtuoso as it were, picking style as can be viewed on the numerous youtube vids. He seems to use a modified rest technique. In that he doesn't use exclusive gypsy rest strokes which allows him to play some of the more modern lines yet retain an overall traditional rest stroke sound. Does anyone have an any analysis or input regarding his technique? His playing, especially live, is simply breathtaking.

more and more people are playing like that nowadays... depending on the lines they want to play....

I asked him once and he said he does reststrokes and downstrokes on every string change= gypsy picking... but he'll also do alternate, and back sweeps if he needs to.
He does it all!
