Hi,
I'm looking to try a new guitar- maybe something like a Favino (or in that style). It needs to be loud and I have to be able to dig-in to the strings. If anyone is looking to unload an instrument, I want to get a guitar before the end of this month.
I've got a Vielle Reserve with Brazilian Rosewood

It's got some usage- cracks, a few bruises, but it has the most cutting, spanky tone that I've come across. I'm not sure yet if I'd give it up for a new guitar, but might be OK with trading it for a Favino.
Thanks,
Alex

Just in case I didn't mention this in an earlier post.. I had a Schatten installed in it and it really screams- here's a clip of my trio, I'm on the left playing the Vielle going through an AER. Jared Engel is on bass and Joel Beaver on guitar.

If you're doing a fire-sale on that VR because you want a great big powerful guitar... God bless & go for it - find yourself a Favino or Busato and don't look back because - it's true - VRs aren't intended to be the loudest guitar in the room... but more often than not, they're the best sounding guitar in the room. At any rate, make sure you're giving your VR a fair shake. Oh, and don't let the cracks bother you. Every good vintage gypsy guitar I've ever played or owned has at least three or four - some of them a heck of a lot more than that.
Rodrigo is in your neighborhood - ask him what he thinks about this stuff - have him take a quick look at it. Better spending a hundred bucks doing that than taking it on the chin for a couple thousand. That's way too nice a guitar to firesale. Just my opinion.
I like the feel of the Fav styled guitars. I like the long scale length and big body on those.
