looking for a great inexpensive guitar (used is fine)

I would prefer an oval hole but I know those are probably out of my price range, so I'd certainly settle for a D-hole. I know in the price range (<$500) that I'm looking at , the only thing I'll see is Cigano or Gitane. But I'll look at anything. I'm in the NYC / NJ area so someone local would be great because I'd love to be able to play it.
