hi folks just wanted to share a little norwegian dance with you.. recorded on my new AJL (i also recorded some tunes with bob holo's amazing F hole guitar)
Beautilful Dennis, nice version of a wonderful tune.
For the hard-core geeks out there: Griegs composition was originally inspired by a folk tune called 'Halling from Åmot' (Lindeman 102). Before learning this I had heard Jon Larsen refer to a different tune called 'When Old Nick  ran into Marifjøra', and a bit of Googling reveals that the two are related - being local versions. One I found on Youtube  Notice the hammer on the table diggin' it, and be inspired (By the way, in Griegs days the 8-string Hardanger fiddle was rarely backed by African drums ... ).

BTW, what shoes were you wearing when you recorded it?

That guitar has terrific bass response and round sound. I love the arco bass lines!
