I'll be in Amsterdam Feb. 22 through Fed. 28th (first time!).

Can anyone help with:

1. gypsy jazz clubs/shows
2. jam sessions or lessons
3. CD shops for gypsy jazz
4. luthiers to visit to try out guitars?

Dont know about luthiers but what about a visit to Palm Guitars, near Waterloosplein....... I think.

I know that Ger Boonstra and Moustcahe Guiatrs are based in Holland but not sure where.

As for venues,gigs etc. I was in Amsterdam about three years ago and didn't find anything advertised but came across a trio in bar one night who were excellent so I'm sure it's out there.

Thanks for the replies...Bluebird and Palmguitars it shall be (perhaps not in that order).

Saw a previous post for a bar/restaurant named Hooghoudt that features gypsy jazz on a regular basis, so I'll give it go as well.
