Michto, or not ?

Awesome stuff Ivan - we are not worthy ;-)
By the way folks - the Artillery Lourde video gives a particularly good up close view on Nous'che's right hand at the beginning - first from a front view and then even closer from nearly a player's angle. That angle shot is about the best closeup I've seen of a good rhythm player's right hand - usually you just see from the front, but from the side it gives you a feel for the motion as you would see your own hand doing it. Budding rhythm players... go to school on that. When people say "You should have a loose wrist and your hand should drop naturally toward the floor in a whipping fashion... this is EXACTLY what they're talking about. Nous'che's form is (obviously) fantastic and this video gives you a player's view of it.

Live life and play music like it's your last day on earth. One day you'll be right- Russel Malone
sorry, I thought "Michto" was as popular in America as it is here... Doug is right, it's a hardly translatable word that stands for "Great", "Super", "Fine", "OK" ( according to the degree of smile on the face of the person saying it )
And Yes Bob's right this "Artillerie" is the perfect example of what anyone playing gipsy rhythm should aim at...
Long is the road...
I'll hopefully post a few more exciting vids at end of next week, we're spending three days in the "Cirque d'Hiver" (a beutiful, old 1600-seat venue) with Stochelo of course, + Bireli, Florin, Andreas Oberg & The Symphonic Django orchestra...
Stay tuned
