Endpin jack options

I've seen several designs of endpin jacks for acoustic guitars and am wondering what people recommend for an oval hole Selmer style guitar. Stew-mac sells one that threads into the wood, but I've also seen metal threaded ones (I believe the brand is Switchcraft) that claim they can be tightened from the outside. What is the best option given it's impossible to get a hand inside the guitar?

I used the endpin jack which threads into the endblock on my Gitane and it installed pretty easy.
