GJ style guitar for chord-melody?

Hi guys,

I haven't posted in ages, but after a long respite, I'm getting back into gypsy jazz.

I'd like to buy myself one of the Jorgenson Gitanes, but as I imagine I'll be playing mostly solo, which model do you think gives the fuller, richer sound for chord melody - the oval or D-hole?

I'm sure this topic has been done to death, and apologize for the repetition.

You might also consider the DG-350 which is also a D hole but has a thicker top then other sagas. So it tends to have a warmer, more flatop like tone which is nice for solo playing.

When the Gitane nylon string D-hole finally hits production, it will be the perfect instrument for solo playing, IMO

In the meantime, I'll use my non-nylon Gitane D500 for chord-melody solos and imo it works well. Last year, I did about 125+ solo gigs (vox/git) with my Gitane and it was great!

C'mon nylon Gitane!
