Hi all,
three days (and nights) of Django spirit in the heart of paris with a 80+ piece orchestra, the cream of the crop in today's soloists, and yours truly on camera, what more can you ask for ?
Rehearsal-break jam, Day one :

Same tune (Douce Ambiance) in rehearsal but this time with full orchestra :

A very nice and sicilian-style Minor Swing without orchestra :

Day two : Place de Brouckère

Day 3, aftershow, we stayed late (or early morning) in a bar nearby, and here's Stochelo and Boulou Ferré playing Danse norvégienne

And last but absolutely not least, "Nuages" as you've never heard it, or should I say "Nuach", as it's combined with Boulou's love for Bach... See for yourselves, even Stochelo and Bireli want more !

I'm officially proposing you for the Nobel Prize ( Peace or Culture? You choose!)
P.S.
I'm sure Bireli liked immensely (and certainly more than Stochelo!) Boulou's futuristic rendition of Nuages...
Those are all great.
It's awesome to hear Bireli's "Ah,la, la..." in the middle of Boulou's Nuages. I personally love Boulou's style and I feel he may be one of the style's most under-appreciated players.
Thanks for posting.
Ok, let's go for peace then, I'm not into culture as much as into agri-culture (that's my Jamaican side taking over)...
I'm not sure Stochelo liked it less... Notice him taking a chair in the middle of the tune ? and you can hear him twice saying something like "Ah ça c'est vraiment quelque chose" (Ah, that's really something !) and he went to boulou right after to tell him that was one version of Nuages like no other, and that Boulou should record it !
In the front row, is it Stochelo & ____ (the Godfather guy)?
Back row, is Bireli and Andreas?
Are Jon and Florin the fiddles (big & little)?

Florin is on Violin (far left); not sure who is playing the double bass (standing)
Front row are Stochelo (left) and Bireli (right, playing the Godfather theme)
Back row are Jon Larsen and Andreas Oberg (purple guitar)

I am so glad we have a "man on the inside".
