Hi folks

I will be playing with my trio this saturday at the mehanata, we'll do a short set and then host a jam session! I hope you guys will be able to make it to this gig since they're putting a bit of pressure on me to bring a crowd!!!

And of course later in the week, my buddy Ben is organizing a few things. He's already posted some info

We will be playing the repertoire of our latest CD, you can hear some clips in my myspace www.myspace.com/latches

Cheers
D

Sounds like an interesting place. Unfortunately, I won't be back in NYC until May.
Mehanata, better known as the Bulgarian Bar, is a popular night spot (and restaurant) in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The address is 113 Ludlow Street, between Stanton and Rivington. After several years on Broadway and Canal, it relocated to its current address in 2006, due to expansion plans by Ramada Inn.

The establishment is much more than just another Lower East Side watering hole; it is a cultural Mecca for Eastern European expatriates in New York City and promoter of Roma culture. Although the owner is Bulgarian, hence the name, club regulars hail from all across Eastern Europe, from Albania to Latvia and everywhere in between. The music distinguishes the club from most other venues, dominated by pan-European techno and other world music dance tunes, from the DJ stylings of Joro Boro and gypsy jazz superstar Denis Chang

I edited the above Wiki entry so it reads better!

Actually 113 Ludlow Street is between Rivington and Delancey Streets. Its about 1 1/2 blocks south of East Houston.

    See you there.
