Ukulele conversion

My granddaughter turns 1 on March 20th. She already loves to sit on my lap and play my guitar with me. She has this uke that she likes to strum on also, so I thought I'd gypsify it. It will have 6 strings a faux-moustache bridge, and an aluminum tailpiece. I'm debating whether to cut a D-Hole into it. I got some tuners off of a cheap guitar and redrilled the headstock. Here's a pic of where I'm at with it now. I'll sand off the old finish and refinish it with something else.
