I'm selling my Collins Grande Bouche. This is a guitar that Michael Collins built for me in 2006/07. It is a 12 fret D hole with the large 16 3/4" Favino body size. The back and sides are laminate with the outer laminate being nicely figured curly maple. The inside is mahogany, I believe, and is lacquered. The neck is 1 3/4" wide at the nut. Brazilian rosewood veneer on the back of the headstock. This guitar is featured prominently on Michael's Web site. On his home page, it's the guitar in the center.

There is another picture of it on the Guitars page:

See Collins' specs for his standard D hole here:

The guitar has a great-sounding active Schatten pickup installed. The pearl dots on the fretboard are at frets 5, 7, 9, 12 and 17. Comes with a nice arched wooden hardshell case. The guitar is in near mint condition. There is a very minor amount of pick wear.
I waited 15 months for this guitar, and it was well worth it. It's a rhythm machine. Excellent low end. Michael builds absolutely fabulous SelMac guitars. If I didn't need the money so badly, I'd be keeping it.
Email me for more pics/info. I'm asking $1,500 plus shipping. Reasonable offers considered.

I got your email from the Djangobooks forum. I have just purchased Michael’s book and DVD’s in hopes of building one someday and would love to own one as well.
Might you consider a $1250 offer? This darned economy is really putting a pinch or I wouldn’t even ask.
Thanks and good luck,
