For anyone thinking of attending the show, today's Times notes that Dorado won't be there because of a broken arm. It says Angelo will be filling in for him.

yowch, being a mere mortal who has broken both arms (one twice!), I'd hate to imagine what it would take to break one the size of Dorado's!!!

hope he gets better soon, what a great day when the back up is Angelo though!

The notice published in the NY Times (July 7) states the following:

"A broken arm suffered in a fall at home will keep the guitar virtuoso Dorado Schmitt from performing in "The Spirit of Django Reinhardt" concert on July 27 at Alice Tully Hall. Angelo Debarre will take his place."
