Is the Version of Swing 39 on my Djangology cd not quite tuned A440?? Is it just my ears or was the recording speed off.
Thanks

That happens a lot with Django's records... the reason could be that the recording was sped up or slowed down or that the musicians weren't tuned to concert pitch.

You can do one of two things:

    - tune your guitar to the record
    or
    - tune the record to you by using a computer program such as Transcribe.

I usually do the first unless the difference's too great then I'll adjust the recording to me.

Yes i have to agree with harry, but also alot of it was when they recorded they would play and play and play, that probably by the time they got it right the tuning was off because of constant bending and vibrato and such,

    but i might be wrong?
