about improvisation

hi andreas !! I want to ask you this question: Apart from the melody, do you think in notes names when you improvise?

Because a few days ago I realize that I don't think in notes names... I can quikly find the note but in the moment of playing I only think in the sound.

the answer to your question is that i don't think about name or function of the notes i'm playing when improvising. i know the of course and can analyze/explain it but when i play i just focusing on the melodies/lines i hear in my head.
