Some more good links, which I'm sorry, I'm probably duplicating but are relevant and always worth watching...even if you can't understand a word spoken or read.
There's some faces to the names there too. My father in law has been to Maurices workshop in cognac and was pleased to see these photos, he was telling me who was making the necks, the les paul bodies etc at the time
One guy he pointed out, it was funny to learn, was speaking in a broad Manchester accent apparently. He married a girl from Manchester and so hence the French/Manc accent.....Brilliant!!!
Cheers.
I think I'm in love with these Busatos ! I think the luxe is my favorite, it's stunning with the white binding and the maple in the neck.
But it's the sound...every note just wants it's independence, clear crisp and dry, it's just different and out there with it's own personality. I really like them!!
I'm definitely in love
Thank you Michael,
Now i own a Dupont (all be it the runt of the litter) and after having the privilege of playing a good few other gypsy guitars recently, i must admit i prefer the D shape over U. It seems to make things alot easier, especially the big chords in gypsy rhythm.
It's good to know he's sticking with what works.
Beautiful guitars.

Are the Busatos D or U shaped necks?
And are they wedged?
Cheers.

That's one detail Dupont did not emulate.....the vintage Busatos have necks like baseball bats!
