I know that the Integrale collection is the 'real thing,' but if you haven't been collecting them as they come out, they're a pretty steep investment. By contrast, the three JSP sets are (obviously) not so comprehensive and don't have the rich liner notes, BUT, they're inexpensive and the recording quality seems very good.
Now my question is, how do the JSP recordings compare to the Integrale recordings of the same track? I've got the first two JSP sets and I'm just about to get the Rome sessions, but I'm curious as to how these compare.
